ILVE Parts
Your Ilve oven or cooktop has stopped working the way it should. Maybe the oven won't heat, an element has gone, a burner won't light, or a knob or seal has worn out.
Ilve makes cookers and ovens built to last, and most of the time a fault is one worn part. Not a reason to replace the whole appliance. We stock Ilve spare parts across ovens, cooktops and cookers, dispatched from our NZ warehouse.
What parts we stock
Ilve cookers and ovens are found in kitchens across New Zealand, and the parts that wear out are well known. We carry replacement parts across the range, including:
-
Oven elements, including bake, grill and fan elements
-
Oven knobs, door seals and inner door parts
-
Cooktop and burner parts
-
Thermostats, controls and switches
-
Oven shelves, trays and other wearing parts
If you can't see what you need listed, email us your model number. We can often source Ilve parts that aren't shown online.
How to find your model number
This is the single most important step, and it's where most wrong orders start. Ilve makes many oven and cooker models, and the same part rarely fits across all of them. The model number is what pins down the exact part.
Where to look:
-
Ovens and cookers: around the door frame, the underside, or in the manual.
-
Cooktops: on the underside, or on a label that came with the appliance.
Write the number down exactly, every letter, number and dash. Still not sure you've got the right part? Send us the model number and a photo and we'll confirm it before you pay.
Genuine vs compatible parts
Some Ilve parts are genuine, made or supplied by the original manufacturer. Others are compatible replacements built to do the same job. Both can be the right choice depending on the part and your budget.
Genuine parts match the original exactly. Good compatible parts are a sound, often cheaper option for many common repairs. What matters most either way is that the part fits your model, so the model number still comes first. Tell us when you order and we'll confirm what a part is before it ships.
Fitting parts and a safety note
An Ilve part should be fitted by someone with the right expertise. That can be you, if you're confident and competent with the job. Swapping an oven knob, a door seal, an oven shelf or a tray is usually straightforward, and you won't need a technician.
If you can do the job yourself, you can. But if it's not something you're confident with, hire a professional to fit the part. Some parts are different. Anything electrical or gas, like oven elements, thermostats, burners and cooktop parts, should be fitted by a qualified, licensed technician.
Under New Zealand rules that work has to be done by someone licensed to do it. It's a safety and legal point, not just a difficulty one. If you're unsure which category your part falls into, email us before you start and we'll tell you.

Ilve parts FAQ
Where do I find my Ilve model number?
It's on a label on the appliance, around the door frame or underside on an oven or cooker, or the underside on a cooktop. Write it down exactly, every letter and number.
Should I get genuine or compatible Ilve parts?
Both can be right. Genuine parts match the original exactly. Good compatible parts do the same job and often cost less. The part fitting your model matters more than the label, so lead with your model number.
Can I fit Ilve parts myself?
Many parts, like knobs, seals, shelves and trays, yes. Electrical and gas parts like elements, thermostats, burners and cooktop parts must be fitted by a qualified, licensed technician under NZ rules. If you're not sure which kind your part is, ask us.
You don't list the part I need. Can you still get it?
Often, yes. Not everything we can source is shown online. Email us your model number and the part you're after, and we'll check what we can get.
Not sure which part you need? Send us your Ilve model number and we'll help you find the right one.
