Mixer Parts
Your mixer's stopped mid-batch. Or the beater wobbles, the bowl won't lock, the gears are making a noise they didn't used to make. A stand mixer or hand mixer is a workhorse. When one part wears out, the whole thing sits on the bench unused. Most of the time it's a single worn part. Not the motor, and not a reason to throw the machine out. We stock replacement mixer parts. Beaters, whisks, dough hooks, bowls, gears, couplers, drive parts and more, dispatched from our NZ warehouse.
How to find the right mixer part
This is where most wrong orders start. Mixer parts aren't shared across every model. The same brand changes attachments, bowl fittings and gear designs between model ranges, and an attachment that looks identical can have a different shaft or fitting underneath.
Check three things before you order:
-
Know your model number. It's on a label on the base or back of the mixer. Write it down exactly, letters and numbers. Guessing from the brand name alone is the fastest way to get the wrong part.
-
Work out which part actually failed. A mixer that runs but doesn't turn the beater is usually a gear or coupler, not the motor. A beater that wobbles may just need a new beater, or the socket it clips into may be worn. Look before you order.
-
Keep the old part. If you've still got the worn beater, gear or coupler, hold onto it. Matching the real part for shape, length and fitting beats working from memory or a photo in a listing.
Still not sure? Don't guess. Send us your mixer's model number and a clear photo of the part you think has failed, and we'll confirm the right fit before you pay.
Signs you need to replace a mixer part
The mixer doesn't have to die completely before it's worth fixing. Watch for:
-
The motor runs but the beater or hook doesn't turn, or turns weakly
-
A grinding, crunching or whining noise from the gearbox
-
The beater wobbles, sits crooked, or drops out while mixing
-
The bowl won't lock onto the base, or rattles loose as it turns
-
A burning smell, or the mixer stalls under a normal load it used to handle
-
A cracked or split attachment, like a beater, whisk, dough hook or splash guard
Catch it early. A worn coupler or gear that's left to grind can chew up the parts around it, and a small part swap turns into a bigger repair.
Fitting it yourself
Some mixer repairs are straightforward. Swapping a beater, whisk, dough hook, bowl or splash guard is usually a no-tools job. The old one comes off, the new one goes on the same way. Internal repairs like gears, couplers or drive parts mean opening the housing, and that's more involved.
If you can do the job yourself, go for it. But if it's not something you're confident with, you should hire a professional to fit the part. Someone with the right experience to open the machine, fit the part correctly and put it back together safely. If a repair looks more complicated than you expected, email us before you start and we'll talk you through what's involved.

Mixer parts FAQ
My mixer runs but the beater won't turn. What do I order?
Usually a gear or a coupler. That's the part that carries drive from the motor to the beater. If the motor sounds normal but nothing turns, the drive has failed somewhere between the two. Send us your model number and we'll point you to the right part.
Are beaters and dough hooks universal?
No. They differ in shaft length, shape and how they fit the mixer. Always match a new attachment to your model, or to the old attachment you're replacing. One that looks the same can fit differently.
How do I find which part fits my mixer?
Start with your model number from the label on the base or back of the machine. If you're not sure which part has failed, send us a photo of it along with the model number and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
Do I need a technician to fit mixer parts?
For attachments and bowls, no. Those swap out by hand in seconds. For internal parts like gears and couplers, it depends on your confidence with opening the machine. If you're not sure, it's worth having someone with the right experience do it.
Can't see the part you need, or not sure what's failed? Email us your model number and we'll help you find it.
