Washing Machine Spare Parts
Your washing machine won't drain. Or it won't spin, the door won't open, it's leaking onto the floor, or it's making a noise it didn't used to. A washing machine is a workhorse, and when one part wears out the whole household feels it.
Most of the time it's a single worn part. Not the motor, and not a reason to replace the machine. We stock washing machine parts including belts, pumps, seals, hoses, door parts and more, dispatched from our NZ warehouse.
How to find the right washing machine part
This is where most wrong orders start. Washing machine parts are not universal. Belt length, pump type, seal size, drum and door fittings all change between models, and a part that looks close can fit a different machine entirely.
Check three things before you order:
-
Know your model number. It's on a label on the back panel, or around the door opening. Write it down exactly, letters and numbers. The brand name alone won't get you the right part.
-
Work out which part actually failed. A machine that fills but won't drain is usually a pump or a blocked hose. A machine that won't spin could be a belt, or a worn carbon brush in the motor. A leak could be a hose or a seal. Look before you order.
-
Keep the old part. If you've still got the failed belt, pump, seal or hose, hold onto it. Matching the real part for size and fitting beats guessing from a photo.
Still not sure? Don't guess. Send us your model number and a clear photo of the part you think has failed, and we'll confirm the right fit before you pay. You can also browse by part through collections like washing machine belts, washing machine seals and drain pumps.
Signs you need to replace a washing machine part
The machine doesn't have to die completely before it's worth fixing. Watch for:
-
The machine fills but won't drain, or leaves water in the drum
-
It won't spin, or spins weakly and leaves washing soaking wet
-
Water leaking onto the floor during a cycle
-
A grinding, knocking or screeching noise from the drum or motor
-
The door won't lock, won't open, or the seal around it is split or mouldy
-
The drum paddles are cracked, or the drum doesn't turn freely
Catch it early. A worn belt or bearing left to run can damage the parts around it, and a small leak can turn into water damage and a bigger repair.
Fitting it and a safety note
A washing machine part should be fitted by someone with the right expertise. That can be you, if you're confident and competent with the job. Some repairs are within reach for a confident person, like swapping a drain hose, a door seal or a drum paddle. Others are more involved, and washing machines combine mains electricity, water and a heavy moving drum.
Anything electrical, and any repair you are not confident with, should be left to a qualified technician. Under New Zealand rules electrical work has to be done by someone licensed to do it. If you can do the job yourself, you can. If not, hire a professional to fit the part. Email us before you start if you're unsure what's involved.

Washing machine parts FAQ
My machine won't drain. What do I order?
Usually the drain pump, or a blocked or split drain hose. If the machine fills and washes but leaves water in the drum at the end, the pump is the most common cause. Send us your model number and we'll point you to the right part.
My machine won't spin. What's wrong?
It could be the drive belt, or a worn carbon brush in the motor. A snapped or slipping belt means the drum can't be driven, and worn brushes mean the motor loses power. Send us your model number and a description of what the machine is doing, and we'll help you narrow it down.
How do I find the right part for my washing machine?
Start with your model number from the label on the back panel or around the door opening. If you're not sure which part has failed, send us a photo of it along with the model number and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
Can I fit washing machine parts myself?
Some parts, like a drain hose, a door seal or a drum paddle, are within reach for a confident person. Electrical work, and anything you are not confident with, should be left to a qualified technician, and under NZ rules electrical work has to be. If you're not sure, ask us.
Can't see the part you need, or not sure what's failed? Email us your model number and we'll help you find it.
