Parts For Fisher & Paykel Dryers 92100-B Dryer DEIX1
Fisher & Paykel DEIX1 Spare Parts NZ: SmartLoad Top Loader Dryer
A broken dryer is manageable in summer. In a NZ winter, with wet weather for days and a pile of laundry building up, it is a different story. Most DEIX1 faults come down to one part. The heating element, the thermostat, the belt. Parts that cost a fraction of a repairman's call-out fee. Most of them are in this collection. About the Fisher & Paykel DEIX1
The DEIX1 is a top-loading vented dryer from Fisher & Paykel's SmartLoad range. It uses an electric heating element to warm the air and a drum belt to turn the drum. Straightforward design, which is why these machines are easy to work on and parts are still available for them.
When something goes wrong it is nearly always the heating side or the mechanical side. The element burns out over time. The thermostat trips and does not reset. The belt stretches and snaps. The door switch fails and the machine thinks the door is open. None of these are complicated fixes with the right part in hand.
Check the model number before ordering. The sticker is on the rear panel of the machine. You need the model name DEIX1 and the service code 92100-B. If you are not sure which part you need, the parts lists and diagrams page has an exploded view of this machine so you can identify the part by position.
Signs Your DEIX1 Needs a New Part
- Drum not spinning at all as the belt has snapped or stiffened. A worn belt causes the drum to drag and eventually stop turning.
- The dryer cuts out partway through a cycle and won't restart. A dodgy thermostat that keeps resetting itself is worth replacing before it causes further damage.
- Machine powers on but won't start a cycle. The door switch has failed and the machine reads the lid as open even when it is shut.
- Controls not responding or fault codes on repeat. A worn control module causes issues across the board. Check simpler parts first, then look at the module.
- Burning smell during a cycle. Lint buildup is the usual cause. Clear it out first, but if the smell continues the element itself may need replacing.
- Loud rattling or thumping from the drum. Worn drum bearings let the drum shift and knock during the cycle. It gets worse with time.
How to Find the Right Part
The service code needs to match before you order. For this machine it is 92100-B, model DEIX1. Both are on the sticker on the rear panel.
If the part number is stamped on the old part, search that directly. If the part is out of the machine and unreadable, the parts lists and diagrams page has an exploded view that lets you find the part by location. You can also search by model to pull up parts matched to this machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these parts fit the DEIX1?
Every part in this collection is listed against model 92100-B DEIX1. Check your service code before ordering. If you are not sure, send us both numbers before you buy.
How do I find my Fisher & Paykel model number?
The sticker is on the rear panel of the machine. It shows the model name and the service code. You need both to confirm the right part.
Can I fit these parts myself?
The belt, door switch, and thermostat are all manageable for most people. The element is a bit more involved but straightforward if you are comfortable with basic appliance work. If you are not sure, a local appliance tech can fit it quickly once you have the right part in hand, which works out cheaper than a full call-out with parts on top.
The part I need is not in this collection. What do I do?
Some parts for older models are not always in stock. Send us a message with the part number or a photo and we will let you know what we can source. Our buying guide may also help you work out exactly what you need before getting in touch.
What is your returns policy?
Unused parts in original condition can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. Full details are in our returns policy.
