The BES008 / BES008WHT filter is officially confirmed by Breville for: Oracle Touch (BES990), Oracle (BES980), Oracle Dual Boiler (BES995), Oracle Jet (BES985), Dual Boiler (BES920), Barista Touch (BES880), Barista Touch Impress (BES881), Luxe Brewer Thermal (BDC465), and Luxe Brewer Glass (BDC415). Note: some Oracle and Dual Boiler models require a specific batch number for correct fit (Oracle Touch BES990 batch 1747+, Oracle BES980 batch 1814+, Dual Boiler BES920 batch 1801+). Check your machine's batch sticker before ordering. Not all Breville machines use this filter -- some use a different internal filter style. Check your existing filter or machine model before ordering. Use our model spares directory or email us your Breville model number to confirm.
How to Use and Installation Notes
- Before installing, soak the new filter in cold water for 5 minutes -- this activates the resin and improves initial filtration performance.
- Remove the water tank from the machine.
- Remove the old filter from its holder inside the tank. On most models the holder clips or slots into the tank wall.
- Insert the new compatible BES008 filter into the filter holder, pressing it in until it seats firmly.
- Refill the tank with fresh cold water and reattach it to the machine.
- Run a tank flush cycle if your machine prompts one, or dispense a cup of hot water through the steam wand to flush the system before brewing.
- Replace every 3 months (90 days) or when the machine's filter indicator activates.
