How to Use and Installation Notes

• Switch off the cooktop at the wall and isolate the power supply completely before starting.
• Allow the cooktop to cool fully if it has been in use.
• Lift the old element out of its drip bowl -- on most Westinghouse/Simpson 3U, 4U, and WL series, the element terminal block lifts and unclips from the cooktop surface.
• Note the wiring connection positions and how the element terminals connect before fully removing -- take a photo if helpful.
• Disconnect the terminal wires from the old element.
• Connect the wires to the new 0122004591 element in the same positions.
• Seat the new element back into the drip bowl, ensuring it sits level and the terminal block is properly engaged with the cooktop frame.
• Restore power and test the element on a low setting first to confirm it heats correctly.
