Fresh-tasting drinking water and clear ice depend on a clean, properly functioning fridge water filter. This is the Samsung fridge water filter with part codes DA29-00020B and HAF-CIN, the internal cartridge filter for compatible Samsung French Door and Side-by-Side refrigerators. It uses a high-quality carbon block filtration medium to reduce chlorine taste and odour, sediment, particulates, heavy metals (lead, mercury), cysts, asbestos, benzene, and other contaminants.

This is supplied as a compatible aftermarket version certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 (chlorine, taste, odour, and structural integrity) and NSF/ANSI Standard 53 (cysts, turbidity, lead, mercury, lindane, atrazine, toxaphene, arsenic, chromium, and copper), certified by IAPMO R&T. It provides 6 months or 300 gallons (approximately 1,135 litres) of filtered water before replacement is needed. Compatibility

This filter is compatible with a wide range of Samsung French Door and Side-by-Side refrigerators including the SRF, SRS, and RF series. How to Use and Installation Notes

• Locate the filter compartment inside your fridge -- typically in the upper right corner of the fridge section, or behind a kick plate at the bottom of the unit.
• Turn the old filter approximately 90 degrees (1/4 turn) anticlockwise and pull it gently out of the housing.
• Remove any protective wrap or cap from the new DA29-00020B filter.
• Push the new filter into the housing and twist 90 degrees (1/4 turn) clockwise until it locks into place.
• Run approximately 8 litres (2 gallons) of water through the dispenser to flush the new filter before drinking. The water may run cloudy initially -- this is normal carbon flushing and will clear.
• Press and hold the filter reset button on your fridge's control panel for 3-5 seconds to reset the filter indicator (refer to your owner's manual for the exact procedure).
• Replace every 6 months or every 300 gallons (1,135 litres), whichever comes first.
