About Haier Dryer Parts
Haier dryers aren't fancy. A motor spins the drum through a rubber belt. The drum sits on bearings at the back so it can turn smoothly. A capacitor gives the motor its starting kick. An element heats the air. A thermostat keeps an eye on things and cuts the power if it overheats. A lint filter catches the fluff before it chokes everything up.
Here's a handy thing to know. F&P owns Haier NZ, and a lot of parts cross between the two brands on newer models. A belt, bearing, or capacitor stocked under F&P might be exactly what your Haier needs. Have a look at our F&P dryer collection too if you can't see what you want here.
Fitting new parts is usually pretty straightforward. Pull the top or back panel, swap the bit, put it back together. Belts and filters take about 30 minutes. Bearings and elements a bit longer. Always pull the plug out first. Wait a minute for the capacitor to discharge before you touch it.
Signs You Need a New Haier Dryer Part
-
Loud squeal or rumble from the drum. Worn bearing thats gone past its best. Once bearings get noisy, they only get worse.
-
Drum won't turn but the motor runs. Snapped or stretched belt. Give the drum a spin by hand to check.
-
Motor hums without starting. Dead capacitor. Common on dryers that've sat unused for a while.
-
Drying times keep getting longer. Clogged filter, tired element, or a stuck thermostat. Clean the filter first.
-
No heat at all. Blown thermal fuse, dead element, or a broken thermostat.
-
Burning smell from the dryer. Lint's built up around the element. Stop using it and clean it out. That's a fire risk.
-
Door won't stay shut. Worn catch or a bent strike plate. Five-minute fix with a screwdriver.
How to Find the Right Haier Dryer Part
Haier makes a fair few dryer models, and the parts aren't always interchangeable. The right part starts with your model number.
The model sticker lives inside the door frame, on the back of the machine, or sometimes under the front panel. Haier models start with HDY, HDV, or HDH, followed by numbers and letters. Something like HDY60M1 or HDV60A1.
Once you've got the number, search it on our site. For anything not listed under Haier, check the full Haier spares range for other options, it's range is wider than just dryers. No luck? Send us the model and a photo of the old part, we'll find it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Haier and Fisher & Paykel dryer parts the same?
Often on newer models, yes. F&P owns Haier NZ, so belts, bearings, and capacitors cross over on quite a few models. Older Haier dryers use different parts. Match your model number to be sure, or ask us.
Can I fit a Haier dryer belt myself?
Yep. Pop the top or back panel, slip the old belt off the drum and motor pulley, fit the new one, put the panel back. About 30 minutes. Unplug first.
My Haier dryer runs but isn't heating. What do I check first?
The lint filter and vent hose. A blocked vent trips the thermal fuse and kills the heat. Both clear? Test the element with a multimeter next, then the thermostat and fuse.
Do you stock parts for older Haier dryers?
Yes. Parts going back many years, though some are compatible rather than genuine. Send your model number and we'll tell you what's around.
How do I return a Haier part if it doesn't fit?
Send it back unused within 30 days in the original packaging. Drop us a line first so we can flag the return and help you find the right part if you still need one.
